In Atyrau are held workshops for fish farmers
How to grow sturgeon in artificial conditions? What are the necessary conditions for this, how to feed it and how to get the offspring?
Atyrau fish farmers can receive answers to these and other questions in the course of seminars organized by the Centre of Agrarian Competence of NCE RK "Atameken" on the basis of the Ural-Atyrau sturgeon hatchery.
Workshops, which include both theoretical and practical training, started on August 11 and will continue till August 17 inclusive. The Professor of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine, director of LLP "Marine Biology" Serik Temirkhanov conducts the workshops. Participation is toll free, anyone, who is interested in the process of growing sturgeon in artificial conditions, can take part in it.
It is no coincidence that seminars are held on the basis of the Ural-Atyrau sturgeon hatchery. The attendees can get acquainted with the entire process of reproduction of sturgeon, learn about feeding. At present, the plant contains 25 adult females of fish, 13 of which - are female sturgeon, and the rest – starry sturgeon. The production capacity of the plant is 3, 5 million baby fish per year. The company's main challenge for the future - grow own brood stock of sturgeon.
